Federal Relations

Federal Relations serves as the university's official liaison with the federal government. We represent the university in its interactions with the United States Congress, White House and the executive branch agencies. Our goal is to advance the university’s mission in teaching, research and engagement. We work to ensure that the voice of the NIU community is heard on all matters of federal public policy that impact our campus.

Our office is part of the Division of Research and Innovation Partnerships. We work closely and collaboratively with administrative units across campus and the Student Association as well as with individual faculty and students.
